Tranna Wintour

They made their comedy debut at an open mic at the Montreal ComedyWorks, and since that fateful moment they have been unstoppable. With their unique brand of humour (and glamour!), Tranna has taken the comedy scene by storm. They most recently performed their one-woman show at New York City’s legendary Duplex to a packed and adoring house.

They have performed in many festivals including Just For Laughs, SheDot, Zoofest, LadyFest, Pride Toronto, Montreal Sketch Fest, Divers/Cité, and performed their one-woman show, TRANTASY, to rave reviews in the Montreal Fringe Festival (2015).  They were selected as a competitor in Sirius XM’s Top Comic contest for two years running. Tranna has also made a name for themselves on the burlesque scene, acting as MC for many of Montreal’s most fabulous burlesque troops. This summer Tranna, alongside co-producer and co-host, Thomas Leblanc, performed three sold-out nights of “Sainte Celine: A Dion Cabaret” at OFF Just For Laughs.

Tranna’s work has received the attention of international publications: they’ve been profiled in The Daily Front Row (New York City’s official Fashion Week magazine), the UK’s Daily Telegraph, and the Montreal Gazette, which named them one of the city’s 20 hottest Montrealers. They have graced the cover of CultMTL and was ranked the second best comedian in their Best of Montreal poll (they’ve placed consistently in the top 3 for the last 3 years). Tranna has been described by legendary comedienne, Sandra Bernhard, as “a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter’s night.” And Tranna shines that light wherever they perform.
